Track and catenary work on the New Haven Line between Fort Point Street and the Strawberry Hill Avenue Railroad Bridge

No impacts to local roads, rail service or pedestrian traffic
are anticipated.

Construction activities northeast, southeast, northwest and southwest of the WALK Bridge on the Norwalk River

No impacts to marine traffic are anticipated.

Marine Activity

Temporary East Channel Closure on the Norwalk River

Monday, June 17 - Thursday, June 20 (24 hours).
The western channel at the WALK Bridge remains open to marine users.
The eastern channel will re-open on Friday, June 20.
Marine users are advised to follow navigation signs and marine police directions. For marine police, please call VH 13.

Other Activity

Overnight Utility work on East Avenue between Olmstead Place and Winfield Street

Monday, June 17 - Friday, June 21, from 8:00 PM - 6:30 AM.
Alternating one-way traffic will be maintained on East Avenue.
Noise and lighting will be monitored.

Daytime Utility work on Fitch Street

Monday, June 17 - Friday, June 21, from 9:00 AM - 3:30 PM.
Temporary lane closure on Fitch Street.

Construction activities southwest of the WALK Bridge near North Water Street

Monday, June 17 - Friday, June 21, from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
No impacts to local roads, sidewalks or marine traffic are anticipated.

Eversource and its contractors will begin street work, including excavating at the following locations:

South Main Street near the intersection of Elizabeth Street

Monday, June 17 – Friday, June 21, from 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
At times, a one-way alternating traffic pattern will be implemented on South Main Street near the work area. Elizabeth Street will be closed at the intersection of South Main Street and detoured via Hanford Place to Day Street.

Fort Point Street (Rt. 136) near the intersection of Van Zant Street

At times, eastbound traffic on Fort Point Street may be detoured via Van Zant Street to Osborne Ave.

Washington Street (Rt. 136) between the entrance of Veteran’s Memorial Park and Seaview Avenue:

Two-way traffic will be maintained on Washington Street; travel lanes will be reduced near the work area.
Local property and business access will be maintained.
